1.The Mortgage Credit Certificate where 20% of the interest paid on a buyer's home loan is a dollar for dollar tax credit was re-established.
2. CalHFA's School Facility Fee credit which had re-immerged for first time home buyers in the fall, credits the amount paid in school fees during the permitting process towards a buyer's downpayment, closing costs or upgrades.
3. Reduction of minimum cash investment for a purchase using an FHA loan with DAP =1%.
To qualify for the above bundle of benefits certain income limitations apply based on household size, and of course you have to be a first time home buyer. If I were buying my first home, the first place I would shop is in a new home community.
There's nothing better than a new home community. You start fresh... Everyone is happy... and your neighbor's aren't loosing their homes...
